Privacy notice
Effective 2026-10-10. This site is operated by AblePro, Inc.
What we collect
- Reports: what you type into the report form, the display name and state you choose, and your email address.
- Disputes: your name, organization, email and explanation.
- Technical data: a hashed (one-way scrambled, using a secret key) version of your IP address, stored with reports you submit and with “this happened to me too” clicks, to limit spam and duplicate votes. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include full IP addresses.
- Records of agreement: the date and version of the terms you agreed to when submitting.
- Your browser may remember which reports you clicked “me too” on. That stays on your device.
What is public
If your report is approved, we show the report text, the product name (if you gave one), prices, the category, the problems you selected, your chosen display name or “Anonymous,” your state if you chose one, and the date. We try to automatically hide email addresses, phone numbers and long account-like numbers in public text, but this doesn’t catch everything.
What stays private
Your email address, hashed IP address and dispute details are not shown publicly. We use your email only to contact you about your report.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We use Twilio SendGrid to email ourselves notices of new reports and disputes; those emails contain the report or dispute text and, for disputes, the sender’s name, organization and email. We may disclose information, including a writer’s email or hashed IP, if required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights. Where lawful and practical, we will try to notify a writer before disclosing their information.
Keeping and deleting
We keep published reports while they are useful to the public. We keep declined reports, disputes and related records for as long as needed for moderation and legal purposes, and may delete them sooner. To have your report removed, use the dispute form, choose “Other,” and use the same email you submitted with; we may ask you to confirm.
Children
You must be 18 or older to submit a report or dispute. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
