Where subscriptions hide — and how to find them
A subscription is billed by whoever you signed up through: an app store, a streaming device, a payment service, a game console, or your phone or cable bill. Check each place you use. Each one has its own list and its own cancel button.
App stores and devices
Apple (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
Apps and services you subscribed to with your Apple Account, including Apple services and in-app subscriptions bought through the App Store.
- On iPhone or iPad, open "Settings" and tap your name.
- Tap "Subscriptions" to see active and expired subscriptions.
- On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then click your name again.
- Click "Subscriptions" to see the list. You can also sign in at account.apple.com.
To cancel: Tap or click the subscription, then choose "Cancel Subscription" (you may need to scroll). If there is no Cancel button or you see an expiration message in red, it is already canceled; to avoid a renewal after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Google Play (Android)
App and in-app subscriptions you bought through the Google Play Store with your Google Account.
- On your Android phone, open the Google Play subscriptions page (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions).
- Or open the "Settings" app, tap "Google", then "Manage your Google Account".
- Go to "Payments & subscriptions", then "Manage subscriptions".
- If a subscription is missing, check any other Google Accounts you use.
To cancel: Select the subscription, tap "Cancel subscription" and follow the on-screen instructions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

Amazon (Prime, Channels, Subscribe & Save, Kindle, Audible)
Amazon memberships and digital subscriptions such as Prime, Prime Video Channels, Kindle Unlimited and Audible, plus recurring Subscribe & Save deliveries.
- Sign in at amazon.com or in the Amazon Shopping app.
- Open "Account & Lists" (on the app, tap the profile icon, then "Your Account").
- Choose "Memberships & Subscriptions" to see memberships, channels and app subscriptions.
- For product deliveries, open "Subscribe & Save" from your account separately.
To cancel: Next to the subscription, choose the option to cancel or turn off auto-renewal and confirm. Subscribe & Save items are cancelled from the Subscribe & Save page, and some Audible plans may need to be cancelled on the Audible website.

Microsoft account (Windows, Xbox, Microsoft 365)
Subscriptions bought with your Microsoft account, such as Microsoft 365, Xbox Game Pass and other Microsoft Store subscriptions.
- Go to account.microsoft.com/services in a web browser.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account you used to buy the subscription.
- Review the list under "Subscriptions" and select "Manage" on the one you want.
To cancel: Select "Cancel" (or "Upgrade or Cancel") and follow the on-page instructions. If you see "Turn on recurring billing" instead of Manage, it is already set to end on the date shown; subscriptions bought through Apple or Google Play must be cancelled with that store.
Samsung account and Galaxy Store
App subscriptions bought through the Galaxy Store on a Samsung phone or tablet using your Samsung account.
- Open the "Galaxy Store" app and make sure you are signed in to your Samsung account.
- From the main screen, tap the "Menu" icon.
- Tap "Subscriptions" to see your list.
To cancel: Select the app and tap "Unsubscribe". You can keep using the service until the current period ends.

Streaming and TV devices
Roku
Streaming channel subscriptions and Roku services you signed up for and pay for through your Roku account.
- On the web, sign in at my.roku.com/subscriptions and look under "Active subscriptions".
- On a Roku device, press "Home", highlight the app, and press the Star button.
- Select "Manage subscription" to see the renewal date and options.
To cancel: Choose "Manage subscription", then "Turn off auto-renew" (enter your Roku PIN if asked); access continues until the billing period ends. Services you pay directly, such as Disney+, Hulu or Sling TV billed by the provider, must be cancelled with that provider.
Amazon Fire TV and Alexa
App, channel and skill subscriptions started on a Fire TV or Alexa device, which are billed to your Amazon account.
- Sign in at amazon.com on a computer or phone browser.
- Open "Account & Lists", then "Memberships & Subscriptions".
- Look for Fire TV app, Prime Video Channel and Alexa subscriptions in the list.
To cancel: Select the subscription and cancel it or turn off auto-renewal there. Removing the app from your Fire TV does not by itself stop the billing.

Google TV and YouTube TV
YouTube TV memberships and add-on networks, plus app subscriptions bought on a Google TV device through Google Play.
- For YouTube TV, go to tv.youtube.com or open the YouTube TV app and select your profile photo.
- Go to "Settings", then "Membership", and select "Manage".
- For other apps bought on Google TV, check your Google Play subscriptions page (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions).
To cancel: In YouTube TV, choose "Cancel membership", then "Cancel"; access lasts until the end of the payment or trial period. Removing or unlinking a streaming service in Google TV does not cancel it, so cancel with the service or in Google Play.

Payment services
PayPal
Automatic payments you approved with PayPal, also called subscriptions, billing agreements or recurring payments with online businesses.
- Log in to PayPal on the website and open "Settings".
- Click "Payments".
- Select "Subscriptions and saved businesses" or "Automatic Payments" to see the list.
- Select a merchant to see its details and contact information.
To cancel: On the merchant's page, cancel the automatic payment. Cancelling in PayPal stops PayPal from paying that business; check with the business about your account or service with them.

Venmo
Businesses you connected to your Venmo account that can charge it for future purchases under your agreement with them, plus merchants where you saved your Venmo Debit Card.
- In the Venmo app, open the "Me" tab and go to "Settings".
- Tap "Connected Businesses" to see businesses allowed to charge your Venmo account.
- Merchants using your Venmo Debit Card don't appear there; from "Me", tap "Link more brands" to view them.
To cancel: Select a connected business and tap "Discontinue payments" (pending transactions still go through). For a Venmo Debit Card saved at a merchant, cancel the subscription or remove the card on that merchant's own website or app.
Cash App
Recurring charges from businesses that bill your Cash Card or Cash App balance; Cash App does not offer a separate subscription list, so these show up as individual transactions.
- Open Cash App and tap the "Activity" tab.
- Look for repeat charges from the same business, such as monthly or yearly payments.
- Tap a transaction to see the business name and details.
To cancel: Cancel the subscription directly with the business through its website or app. Cash App's help center also explains how to block a business from charging you and how to dispute a Cash Card purchase.

Shop Pay and the Shop app
Subscriptions to products from online stores that you set up using Shop Pay at checkout.
- In a web browser, sign in at shop.app/account (on a phone, use your mobile browser, not the Shop app).
- Click your account icon.
- In the "Account" tab, click "Subscriptions" to see your list.
To cancel: Click the subscription, then "Manage subscription" to go to the store's customer account, where you can pause or cancel. Deleting a card from your Shop Pay wallet does not cancel active subscriptions.
Klarna
Subscriptions and on-demand services you pay for with Klarna, such as streaming or delivery services linked to your Klarna account.
- Open the Klarna app and go to your "Profile".
- Tap "Subscriptions and apps" to see active services, payment settings and upcoming renewals.
To cancel: Select the provider's name and follow the prompts to go to the provider's website or app, where you can change or end your plan.

- On PS5, open "Settings", then "Users and Accounts", then "Account".
- Select "Payment and Subscriptions", then "Subscriptions" to see each plan and its next payment date.
- On the web, sign in to Account Management and open the "Subscription" section.
- In the PlayStation App, tap the PlayStation Store icon, then the menu icon, then "Subscriptions Management".
To cancel: Select the subscription and choose "Cancel Subscription" (or "Cancel" on the web and app); some add-on services use "Turn Off Auto-Renewal" under "Game and App Services" instead. The plan stays active until the next payment date and then stops.
Nintendo (eShop and Nintendo Switch Online)
Nintendo Switch Online memberships (including the Expansion Pack) and other plans bought with your Nintendo Account.
- On a computer or phone, go to accounts.nintendo.com and sign in to the account that paid.
- Select "Nintendo Switch Online" to see your "Active Plan" and renewal status.
- On the console, open "Nintendo eShop", pick the account, then select your icon in the upper-right corner.
To cancel: Choose "Cancel Your Pass by Turning Off Auto-Renewal" on the website (or "Cancel Your Subscription by Turning Off Automatic Renewal" in the eShop) at least 48 hours before the membership ends. You keep access until the term ends, and unused time is not refunded.

Steam
Recurring subscriptions for individual games (such as monthly game memberships) that are billed through your Steam account.
- Sign in to Steam in the app or at store.steampowered.com.
- Open your account name menu and choose "Account Details".
- Look for the subscriptions link in the store and purchase section to see any recurring plans.
To cancel: Open the recurring subscription and choose the option to cancel it; it should stay active until the end of the period already paid. Some games bill through their own publisher account instead, so check there if nothing appears in Steam.

Meta (Quest, Facebook and Instagram subscriptions)
Meta Horizon+ and app or game subscriptions on Quest headsets, plus Meta Verified and creator subscriptions on Facebook and Instagram.
- For Quest, open the Meta Horizon app on your phone, or the headset settings, and look for payments or subscriptions.
- For Facebook and Instagram, open "Accounts Center" and check the payments or subscriptions section.
- If you subscribed through the iPhone or Android app, also check your Apple or Google Play subscriptions list.
To cancel: Cancel from the same subscription screen where it is listed; plans bought through Apple or Google Play must be cancelled with Apple or Google. Access usually lasts until the end of the paid period.

Bills
Your phone carrier bill (third-party and carrier billing)
Third-party charges added to your wireless or landline bill, such as premium text services, ringtones or app purchases billed to your phone number.
- Open your carrier's app or website and view your latest full bill, not just the total.
- Look for sections labeled third-party, premium or additional charges.
- Note any service you don't recognize, including small recurring amounts.
To cancel: Ask your carrier to remove charges you didn't order and to block third-party charges on your account going forward. The FCC calls unauthorized charges on phone bills "cramming" and accepts complaints about them.
Cable, internet and satellite TV bills
Premium channels, equipment rental fees, streaming add-ons and service upgrades added to a cable, internet or satellite TV account.
- Sign in to your provider's app or website and open the full bill or account summary.
- Review line items for premium channels, add-on packages and equipment such as extra boxes or rented routers.
- Compare your internet charges with the provider's broadband label for your plan, which lists monthly price and fees.
To cancel: Remove add-ons or return rented equipment through your provider's account settings or customer service, and ask for written confirmation. Check the next bill to make sure the charge is gone.

Credit card and bank apps
Any recurring charge made to your debit card, credit card or bank account, including ones you forgot about.
- Open your card or bank app and review the last two or three months of transactions.
- Look for repeated charges from the same merchant on similar dates.
- Some apps have a recurring payments or subscriptions view; check your app's menu for one.
- Some card issuers also offer virtual card numbers you can use or lock for a single merchant.
To cancel: Cancel with the merchant first, since stopping a payment doesn't end your contract with them. For bank account debits you can also tell your bank you have revoked the merchant's permission and ask about a stop payment order.

Your email inbox
Receipts, renewal notices and free-trial confirmations for subscriptions bought anywhere, including ones billed to a card you rarely check.
- Search your inbox for words like "subscription", "renewal", "receipt", "free trial" and "your plan".
- Also search for "auto-renew" and "membership", and check older email addresses you may have used.
- List each service you find, then check where it bills you.
To cancel: Follow the company's own cancellation steps, keep the confirmation email, and watch your card statements for any later charges. Don't click links in renewal notices you didn't expect; go to the company's site directly instead.

Common questions
Why don’t I see a subscription in my App Store or Google Play list?
Those lists only show subscriptions billed through Apple or Google. If you signed up on a company’s website, through PayPal, Amazon, Roku or your phone carrier, it will be listed there instead — or only on your bank or card statement.
Does deleting an app cancel the subscription?
No. Deleting or uninstalling an app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the place that bills you, such as your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, and keep the confirmation.
What is the fastest way to find everything?
Download a few months of transactions from each bank and card as a CSV file and run them through our free statement scanner. It finds repeating charges and price increases. Then check the places on this page for anything billed under another company’s name.
Steps are based on each company’s own help pages as of October 2026 and may change. AblePro has no relationship with the companies listed; they are included only so you can find subscriptions billed through them.
