Cancellation letter writer

Some companies make cancelling hard. A short, clear written request — sent by email, chat or account message — creates a record you can point to later.

Don’t include passwords or card numbers.

Nothing you type here is sent to us. The letter is created in your browser.

October 11, 2026 To: [Company name] — Customer service Re: Cancel my [subscription or membership] Hello, Please cancel my [subscription or membership] effective immediately, and stop all future charges. If I have been charged for any period after this request, please refund those charges to my original payment method. Please send me written confirmation of the cancellation, including the date it takes effect and confirmation that no further charges will be made. Thank you, [Your name]

Send it by the company’s official email, chat, account messages or mail, and keep a copy and any reply.

Common questions

How should I send a cancellation letter?

Use the company’s official channels: account messages, support email, chat, or mail. Save a copy of what you sent and any reply. If the subscription is billed through Apple or Google, cancel in your app store subscription settings too.

What if they keep charging me after I cancel?

Keep your cancellation record, contact the company again, and ask your card issuer or bank about disputing the charges. Our charge dispute letter writer and dispute guide can help.

Should I include my card number?

No. Use your account email or username so the company can find you. Never send a full card number, password or Social Security number in a cancellation request.
